When you see pictures of bungee jumping, they're often taken at the Kawarau Bridge, an old suspension bridge over the Kawarau River Gorge that's a 20 minute drive from Queenstown. The bridge is no longer used for road traffic.

Look out below! The person in the yellow raft holds out the pole to the jumper who catches it when he or she finally stops bouncing around. Then the jumper "crawls" down the pole to get to the raft.
